What to check before calling
Replace the batteries. Confirm the mode is set to Heat, not Cool, Off or Fan. Raise the setting several degrees above the current room temperature and wait a few minutes. Make sure the equipment's service switch is on and the access panel is fully closed. Check for a tripped breaker. If the thermostat still shows nothing or the system won't respond, the fault is likely past the wall plate, and that's where we come in.
